KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) today announced that Dr. Naresh Soni, InterDigital’s Chief Technology Officer, will present the company’s technology vision on future of wireless innovation at the UCLA WINMEC Forum 2010 in Los Angeles, CA on November 2, 2010. Dr. Soni will provide an in-depth look at tomorrow’s Network of Networks, a technology vision that previews the seamless integration of multiple communications networks that intelligently and constantly connect people and things across a myriad of wide, local and personal area networks.

“We are excited to contribute to the dialogue with industry experts, researchers and government officials to tackle the next set of challenges facing the emerging wireless device, network, and services ecosystem,” said Dr. Soni. “As a pioneer in wireless technologies, we are focusing on creating next-generation solutions for more efficient wireless networks, a richer multimedia experience, and new mobile broadband capabilities.”

Dr. Soni’s keynote presentation reflects InterDigital’s commitment to leading corporate, university and government consortiums. WINMEC, or Wireless Internet for Mobile Enterprise Consortium, is based at UCLA and has the objective to advance technological and business research and to educate its members on the state-of-the art in wireless and mobile industries. In addition, Dr. Soni will participate in an Expert Panel discussion– “Convergence and what it means in your industry.”

The WINMEC 2010 Forum event, “Mobile Media and Wireless Innovations: Consumers and Enterprises Driving Technology through Apps,” brings media companies, enterprises, application developers, device manufacturers, networking and O.S. companies together with academics and government to address critical aspects of the rapidly evolving wireless Internet.

“WINMEC’s impact on the wireless industry is based on our ability to attract the foremost thinkers and influencers in wireless technology,” said Dr. Rajit Gadh, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, and director of WINMEC. “We look forward to working with InterDigital, which has a long track record of innovation at the very heart of wireless research and solid pan-industry impact.”
